Mr Bigglesworth

After much thought, puppy classes, bites, books, neutering, new techniques, and research we finally made a decision about this Christmas gift.
A tough one.
But one the whole family agreed on.

Today we surrendered Frank to a local doxie rescue shelter.

With tears and hugs we said our goodbyes to our first pet. (It was so much harder than expected)...but we know it was the right thing to do. He needs a quiet adult home and the girls need to be able to play without the fear of an unpredictable dog.

The barking has stopped. No wet kisses. No tail wagging. The chasing is done. Those brown eyes are not here anymore. The dirty underwear thief cannot be found. There is no sound of toenails on the kitchen floor. Tonight our house is too quiet. Somehow it will never be the same again...change is hard.

Next Christmas, the girls are hoping for a Guinea pig and pony... we'll see if Santa wises up by then! ;)

Oh Finnemans. My heart hurts for you. I can only imagine the silence. Praying for you guys and for Frank. We'll miss him too.

We had to put our dog down a couple years ago and I was shocked and not prepared for how hysterical Megan got (he was not really a close member of the family, he was an outside dog and Damon's dog before we got together) anyway, it was a growing experience for us all...hang in there!
