THE Wedding!

We had THE BEST time at Em & Erica's wedding...I felt like it was something out of the movies! Welcome to the family, Erica! :) We love you both...thanks for including us on your special day!

We've been FLOCKED!!

When we returned from New England, we found a flock of flamingos on our front lawn thanks to some of Lonnye's co-workers! VERY FUNNY!!! (I've always wanted to do this!)
Sooo, we added one to the flamingo flock and flew it to another pharmacist family! Flock on pharmacists! :)

Wine Country Weekend!

Lon and I stole away for a very adult weekend in the Yakima wine country area. We stayed at this cool B&B overlooking Prosser, WA, and caught up on some much needed R&R! We slept in, read books, drank wine in the hot tub while watching the sunset, ate incredible breakfasts, and soaked in the sun and time together. The biggest highlight was the 6 hours of wine tasting on Saturday (from 11 AM to 5 PM) being chauffeured around in a limo bus with 5 other couples. We did not know anyone when we started the tour but we all became great friends at the end (easy to do after visiting 11 vineyards!!!). We all had our own glass labeled with our name and one of the guys brought a gnome with him and had it signed at each tasting room we went to. We hadn't laughed that hard in a long time (or drank that much wine!!)...good times!

How Does YOUR Garden Grow?

I really wanted to grow things in our backyard this year (other than weeds and blackberry brambles! :) so we took on a family project. Lon built the raised bed (great job, babe!) and filled it with dirt so the girls and I could plant. We decided to try and grow strawberries, watermelon, zucchini, cucumbers, sweet peas, tomatoes, and peppers this year. We'll see how it all turns out! (We've already replaced the cucs once!!) The girls have had such a fun time watering the garden and watching the plants grow. It's so cool to see them dash to the window to check out their garden! They are amazed daily...as am I!
